 The Jeff Dayton Band was formed in Arizona and quickly established itself as a premier act in the Phoenix and Southwest concert and club scene. These days, Jeff is based in Nashville and draws his musicians from the deep talent well in Music City. The JDB was Glen Campbell’s band for 15 years and toured the world with him. At the same time, their two album releases were hot sellers at retail and produced two national chart singles. One of those singles was a song Jeff wrote that hit #1 at southwest regional radio including KNIX. Jeff and his bands have opened shows for nearly 75 of music’s best and hottest artists. What Jeff is proudest of, though, is the list of artists he’s had the pleasure of actually backing up. He’s been side-by-side with: Toby Keith, Vince Gill, Willie Nelson, Buck Owens, Ray Benson, John Michael Montgomery, Bo Diddley, the Gatlin Brothers, Bryan White, Mark Wills, Tracy Byrd, Nicolette Larson, the Beach Boys, Gary ‘US’ Bonds, Tracy Lawrence, Mark Miller (Sawyer Brown), Pam Tillis, Larry Stewart (Restless Heart), and so many more. Add to that his tours with Kenny Cheney, Glen Campbell, Lee Greenwood and Tammy Cochran plus a gig with Elvis’s TCB Band and it becomes clear Jeff has been “walking in some tall cotton.” The JDB is still in demand for corporate shows around the country, especially when hot, professional, current and classic country/variety music is called for.
