- JEFF SIGNS AT BLACK RIVER MUSIC:~~ Jeff has
been signed to a new songwriting deal at Black River Music Group.
Black River is a record label, publishing company and studio
housed in the MCA/Milsap building on Music Row. The studio was
where Ronnie Milsap cut all his hits including Smokey Mt. Rain
and Lost in the Fifties. Today, it's one of the Row's busiest
rooms and is where Black River artist Sarah Darling is cutting
her CD.
- CHART ACTION: ~~Two of Jeff's songs are on
Chubby Carrier's zydeco CD Bayou Road that
has hit #1 on the Cajun and Zydeco charts.~~
"Break Me Twice" hit #2 on American
Idol's online chart. ~~" A Girl Like That" went Top
10 on the same chart. ~~
- RECORDINGS (cuts):~~ Two songs on Jason
Foster's debut CD,~~Three songs on Misty Rae's
debut CD, ~~Five songs on Jason Sever's upcoming
CD~~New and upcoming releases by Out and Runnin', Ronnie
Bear, Kayla Jones, Lainey
Edwards, Laurie Knight, and Sarah

- SESSIONS:~~ SARAH DARLING: Jeff is on electric
and acoustic guitars with Black River artist Sarah Darling tracking
her debut project. The sessions include A-List players
Paul Franklin, David Hungate, Jimmy Nichols, Biff Watson, Tom
Bukovac, Shawn Fichter, Spady Brannan and Jerry McPherson.
Sarah's full CD is due this coming summer/fall.~~BUCKY
COVINGTON recorded some new songs at OmniSound
and Jeff was on guitar...look for them on Bucky's next CD...JD
CLARKE, one of Canada's top new artists, came to Nashvile
and Omni Sound studios to cut his new CD....and
hired Jeff to play electric guitar on the project.
- LUCAS HOGE TAKES 'DIRT' TO THE TOP: Jeff's
song "My Dirt," co-written with Eddie
Kilgallon (Montgomery/Gentry, Riccochet) and Lucas
Hoge is the title cut and first single from Lucas'
new CD Dirt. The album was named Country Album
of the Year at the LA Music Awards
where Lucas won Songwriter of the Year for

- VOLUNTEER WORK: ~~Jeff continues into his
third year as the NSAI Adopt-a-Shop Pro
Songwriter for the AZ chapter of the Nashville
Songwriters Assn. Jeff serves as mentor and liason
from Nashville to Phoenix. Adopt-a-Shop is a national program
that matches professional songwriters with the members of NSAI's
104 worldwide chapters through the "NSAI Regional Workshops

~~Jeff is a regular participant in the Country Music
Hall of Fame/Museum's Words & Music program. The
W&M program offers songwriting courses to Middle TN schools
and pairs the students with professional songwriters for collaboration
and a concert.
- JEFF ON THE TUBE: Look for Jeff's appearances
in Toby Keith's video single "Honkytonk
U." The video was directed by Michael
Salomon and shot by Picturevision
at the old Nashville Palace. Jeff is also featured
in several Glen Campbell concert videos on
CMT and GAC including the hits "Galveston," "Southern
Nights" and "Witchita Lineman." For the Kenny
Chesney fans, look for Jeff in the Road Case
and No Shoes video collections.

The most
famous writers club in Nashville, the 'Bird is a favorite
of Jeff's and is a great non-smoking listening venue.
COMMODORE:
Located in the Holiday Inn Express on
West End, near Vanderblit. Hosted by Tu-Wed-Thu by Debi
Champion and Fri by Lee Rascone.
THE
LISTENING ROOM:
The hottest new music
venue in Franklin, TN, intimate and always top-drawer
writers and music. Located in historic downtown Franklin,
directly across from Starbuck's at 5 Points.
MICKEY ROO's:
If you love great Texas-style BBQ and live music, head
over to Hillsboro Rd. near downtownFranklin. Sunday
nights feature original music sets, hosted by Noelle
LaRae.

MEXICALI
GRILL: Every
month on the 3rd Friday from 6-9 pm.
Catch Jeff and his aptly named acoustic trio the Third
Friday Band..Brady Spencer
on drums (Andy Childs) and Mike Bush
on bass ( Jerry Reed, David Lee Murphy) are the band.
No cover, great food and family atmosphere.
HOTEL INDIGO:
On West End Ave. at 18th Ave. South. A newly renovated
and trendy hotel that hosts Lee Rascone's writers night
on Wednesdays in the lounge. Music City mingles with
the hotel crowd, nice for food and conversation.

LIMELIGHT: Located
across Woodland St. from LP Field, this is a large nightclub
with a big stage and great sound. Host venue for Stage
Write and Music City Nights showcases.
FUEL:
Downtown on 2nd Ave, a bigger room that commonly has
full showcases and songwriter band sets.
CRESCENT
CAFE: In
the heart of Vandy-ville, a hip and vibey little writers
club with a New Orleans flair. Jeff loves the fresh
oysters there!
